Wedding details shots

I decided to write a blog post about wedding details shots and why I think they are so important to have. Let me tell you a little story. My daughter Sonia is only 3,5 years old but she knows that mummy photographs weddings and she has a good understanding now who the bride is. She is a proper girl, she loves wearing dresses and shoes, of course! Last week she said to me all of a sudden: “Mummy, what did you wear on your wedding day”? I made myself a large cup of coffee and a hot chocolate for her, we sat on the sofa and I put my wedding album in front of us. She gasped when she saw me in my wedding dress. She said: “Mummy you looked like a princess”! That is usually what I say to her:-) The next question she asked was about my wedding shoes. My shoes…I couldn’t find a photograph of my wedding shoes! I remember that I spent quite a lot long time trying to find the perfect pair that ticks all the boxes and now I can’t show my little girl what they looked like.

Importance of details’ shots

I know exactly how much effort and time it takes to plan such a special evening like wedding. We ladies are obsessed with making sure that everything is 100% right. We spend months looking for ideas, comparing brands, trying things on, studying colour schemes, the list is endless. How would we remember the shoes, the perfume, the earrings, the garter if they are not on the photographs? That is why I pay so much attention to all the details. They are also an important part of your story. And what a great feeling it is when in few years time you get to share it with your little ones.
