Following Virginia Water, it was time for Chobham to feature in my Dancing through Surrey project.
Surrey Life has listed Chobham as one of the most beautiful villages in Surrey and I am lucky enough to live 5 minute drive from the village centre. Given its unique character, I have decided to have photograph Chobham in an elegant way.
I met with Sophia on Sunday afternoon late in March. I consciously picked Sunday, hoping to encounter less traffic, which could seriously limit our choice of frames to capture. If you follow my blog, you probably recognise Sophia from the shoot in the snow we did in West End Village back in February.
We started shooting in front of the Blue&Basil Cafe. It was very quiet, so Sophia had full freedom to try various poses on the bench and at the tables.
We were very lucky as there was a a diverted traffic and a part of High Street was closed off. A perfect opportunity to try some jumps in the middle of the Zebra crossing! I wanted to include the beautiful Church, which is located at the heart of the village, in the frame. Sophia must have jumped 15 times before we got two perfect shots. I hope you agree it was worth it!
