I wanted to share some beautiful photos from the ballet photoshoot with Elsa Godard with you. I met Elsa in London last year. She is an incredibly talented individual and working with her was a truly wonderful experience. During the shoot, we both agreed that sometimes less is more and we opted for simplicity. Elsa is a french dancer and a former First Artist of the Royal Ballet Company.

Her repertory with the Company included many roles in Manon, La Bayadere, The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, Sweet Violets, Serenade, Ballo Della Regina, Concerto, White Cat in the Sleeping Beauty and Cygnet in Swan Lake.

Here is what Elsa says about shooting with me:

“Working with Magda is a very lovely experience. She is so professional and extremely precise in her takes.

She really listens to her model to try to make her photo as close to both visions possible, and she always shows the images while shooting so both photographer and model are satisfied.

It is a real team work and that’s what makes her photoshoot so pleasant. And her lovely personality makes work so much more fun.”
